This online companion course provides wonderful input and support.  The lectures are given by Dr. Carl Volz, Professor emeritus of Church History at Luther Seminary, St Paul. The facilitator for this course is Dr. Troy Pflibsen.  Troy is a full-time pastor in rural Iowa.  In August 2006 he completed his PhD in Religious Studies with a specialization in Historical Theology.

This course provides a historical account of the development, struggles and progressions of the early church from the Ascension to just before the reformations of the church.
The course structure includes watching the recorded lectures, text book readings, posting weekly essays online and participating in threaded discussions
