She has chosen to tell her story, and share what she has learned in order to help other Christians engage in useful dialog on the questions surrounding gays and lesbians in the Church. One bishop who attended a workshop led by Margaret said "this is the way the Church can engage in fruitful dialog in a helpful and non-threatening way."
