There are a variety of groups that use Select Learning courses to meet educational standards. The courses used for this purpose are more in depth and have an assigned textbook along with the video lectures. These courses include:
- Introduction to the Old Testament
- Introduction to the New Testament
- Systematic Theology: Fundamentals of Christian Theology
- Getting Down to Basics: Augsburg Confession and Small Catechism
- Lutheran Heritage
- From Jesus to Luther
- The American Religious Experience
- Evangelization and Lutheran Worship
- Sent to Preach
- Teaching the Bible, Hosting the Conversation
Select Learning hosts online courses to provide a class and a theologian facilitator for learners across the US and Canada. When the facilitator has approved the final paper a certificate of completion is given. If a local group is formed to study a course, a final paper reading can be purchased from Select Learning, and a certificate is issued when the paper is approved. (The article on final papers gives complete details.)
